Focusing on just these few key deepwater basins has produced exceptional
drilling success in the company’s core areas. This discriminating “first mover”
approach has led to the acquisition of a number of key leases and licenses,
putting Cobalt in competition with the world’s biggest oil companies.

Cobalt owns interests in more than
266 blocks, representing approximately
1.5 million gross (0.8 million net) acres;
designated operator of 238 of these blocks
(approximately 89% of our leasehold acreage)

Formally sanctioned in
mid-2013; field development is progressing
and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, as
operator, estimates first oil in first half of
2016, representing Cobalt’s first production

appraisal well successfully confirmed
depositional environment, lateral sand
continuity, reservoir quality, and down dip
thickening (extension) of the Shenandoah
