Cobalt Donates Office Furniture to Local Elementary School

At Cobalt, we believe that people make all the difference, not only in the office but also the community. Our remodel presented us with an opportunity to put into action our policy of giving back to the neighbors we value.

Cobalt International Energy recently completed a build-out and restack project on multiple floors of our corporate headquarters building in Houston, Texas, yielding a variety of un-needed office furniture.

Rather than discarding the furniture or continuing to pay storage fees, we worked with Tanya Debose, Executive Director of Independence Heights Redevelopment Council, and donated a number of desks, cabinets, tables and chairs to Burrus Elementary School, located in the Houston Independent School District.

Jessie Woods, Burrus Elementary Principal, expressed his gratitude for Cobalt’s generosity, saying this donation will benefit the school’s teachers and children significantly.
