Cobalt International Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CIE) is a publicly
traded independent exploration and production company
which was formed in 2005 and is headquartered in
Houston, Texas with operations in the deepwater regions
of the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and oshore Angola and Gabon
in West Africa.

About Cobalt
In 2014, Cobalt expanded our global expertise
to 205 employees, along with 116 contractors
and 14 secondees, working in Houston, Luanda,
Angola and oshore.
Since our founding in 2005, our oil-focused,
below-salt exploration eorts have been
successful in each of our three operating areas,
resulting in ten discoveries out of the seventeen
exploration prospects drilled.
These ten discoveries consist of North Platte,
Heidelberg, Shenandoah and Anchor in the U.S.
Gulf of Mexico; Cameia, Lontra, Mavinga, Bicuar
and Orca oshore Angola; and Diaman oshore
Gabon. Cobalt is progressing six major projects
through appraisal and development, which will
generate significant production and operating
cash flow from nine of these ten discoveries in
the early 2020’s.
